The Bluest SPace: The Gold Venture
Guided by our flagship program, The Bluest Space Youth Film Intensive, The Gold Venture is a bold global commitment to expand access to emotional expression and creative confidence in youth through documentary filmmaking. Rooted in a healing-centered approach, this immersive model equips students with technical filmmaking skills, emotional literacy, and the storytelling tools to process their experiences and transform pain into power. By 2031, The Bluest Space Youth Film Intensive will be a global leader in youth-centered wellness and storytelling. Our programs will operate in five countries, led by trained local facilitators and grounded in a culturally responsive digital curriculum. Through a growing archive of youth-produced films, we’re cultivating a movement that empowers young people to own their narratives and lead with empathy, resilience, and purpose.
Moknowsbest In Media
Our Founder recently joined Marquis Who’s Who, a distinguished group of accomplished professionals. In the latest feature, Bold Journey Magazine sits down with our Chief Heart Officer to discuss her journey of resilience in building Moknowsbest and empowering youth to tell their own stories through the flagship program, The Bluest Space. Program Initiatives
SOCIAL EMOTIONAL EMPOWERMENT | Express Emotions Through Storytelling: Students respond to the stress of filmmaking in a safe environment, learning to become more self-aware and manage their emotions. Through co-writing scripts and partnering to make a film, student's interpersonal skills grow and empathy expands.
EQUITY AND PROJECT-BASED LEARNING | Learn Marketable Skills: To close the Achievement Gap, our curriculum is aligned with various Georgia film course curriculums. Every student, no matter his or her academic background, writes from experience, learns the value of their voice and promotes their ideas, verbally and in writing. Our young filmmakers learn graduate-level concepts and decide how to apply them to their films while collaborating and problem-solving with their peers.
MINDFULNESS PRACTICE | Learn Coping Methods To Manage Difficult Emotions: Our students are led to be attentive, aware, and careful about how they think and speak about themselves, their current life circumstances, or past experiences. Writing prompts and group discussions encourage every student to disarm judgments to different perspectives, encouraging diversity and personal acceptance.
IMPLEMENTING AUTHENTIC NARRATIVES | Build Confidence In Sharing Your True Story: Hollywood develops societal norms, but it does not reflect the complete diversity of our society. Equity and access issues have kept certain groups from telling their authentic stories on Hollywood screens. These issues have limited dispersal of cultural knowledge and a better acceptance of our diverse world. Our programs builds the skills, portfolio, and social connections that young filmmakers need to positively reshape their perception of their value in the world and work in the film industry.
